Policy Analyst Trainer

Position Reports To

Location: Raleigh, NC
Department: Operations
Position Reports To: Policy Service Supervisor

General Definition

Primary responsibility is to train policy service employees on all tasks associated with policy issuance and maintenance of policy records. Also responsible for the development and maintenance of training manuals and other training materials.

Special Training, Education, Knowledge, and Skills Required

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Independent work habits.

  • Ability to research, analyze and organize data.

  • Ability to multi-task and maintain flexibility.

  • Ability to work well with staff on all levels of the organization.

  • Strong typing/keyboarding skills.

  • Familiarity with the following Microsoft Office programs: Outlook, Word, Excel.

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience.

  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures, workflows and systems.

  • Completion of INS-21, AIT-131 or CPCU-510.

  • Prior training or public speaking experience preferred.

Major Duties of Position

  • Develop and implement training for policy service staff in the Operations Department.

  • Develop and maintain training documentation for applicable policy service lines of business.

  • Handle special projects with minimum supervision.

  • Collaborate with Policy Service Supervisor to develop and publish training schedules.

  • Conduct training sessions for policy service staff on prep and entry.

  • Conduct question and answer sessions as a follow-up to training.

  • Assist with updates and maintenance of procedures manuals for policy service areas.

  • Monitor trainee progress and provide feedback to the supervisor and/or trainee as procedures warrant.

  • Develop/maintain reports or spreadsheets documenting the progress of trainees.

  • Maintain and continue to acquire knowledge of company systems and/or software applications as needed.

  • Maintain an ongoing knowledge of training methods or technological advances used for training purposes.

  • Assist and perform other duties as developed and assigned by the supervisor, Operations division manager, and Senior Executive, Operations.
