Corporate Talent Administrator
General Definition
Responsible for corporate recruiting and career development programs for NC Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company employees. Works closely with Human Resources and with department hiring managers to define needs, structure a recruitment plan, and organize communications with job posting sites and candidates. Assists with the interview process and onboarding, as needed. Works with the Resource Development Unit supervisor and trainers in each department to provide consistent training and educational opportunities across the organization.
Special Training, Education, Knowledge, and Skills Required
Prefer four-year college degree, business school, or comparable work experience. Successful candidates will be highly organized, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and will have strong independent work habits. In addition to familiarity with corporate policies and culture, experience with recruiting, hiring and onboarding talent is preferred. Completion of AINS (Certificate of Insurance) or CPCU 510 and 520 is preferred. Otherwise, candidates will be expected to complete the AINS series of courses upon hire.
Major Duties of Position
Work closely with hiring managers in various departments to define recruitment needs and plan the hiring process.
Manage / coordinate communication with candidates from application through onboarding.
Source candidates on job sites, professional networks and through referrals.
Screen and interview candidates at various stages of the hiring process.
Coordinate corporate participation in career fairs to network with potential candidates.
Work with HR to administer applicable skill assessments tests to screen candidates.
Oversee internal and external communication, making sure the company maintains a positive reputation as an employer (for example on LinkedIn, Glassdoor and social media).
Track recruitment statistics, such as source of hire, time to hire and time to fill.
Develop and oversee relationships with local college and university risk management programs (staff and faculty) and career placement offices.
Create and facilitate an internship program.
Work with Resource Development Unit Supervisor and trainers from other departments to ensure training consistency.
Oversee career development educational opportunities and programs, including but not limited to certifications offered through the Institutes (formerly American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters).
Work with Human Resources and other departments, and employee engagement groups, to celebrate our people and their accomplishments.
Assist and perform other duties as developed and assigned by Executive Vice President and General Manager and Senior Executive, Operations.
