Field Services Program Specialist
General Definition
Support the Director of Field Services and the Field Services staff with implementation of programs to serve Farm Bureau members.
Special Training, Education, Knowledge, and Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree with a background in agriculture via education or experience.
Work primarily from the Home Office in Raleigh, with occasional travel as required by the Director.
Ability to attend evening and weekend meetings and events as assigned.
Experience with Word, Excel, Google Docs, basic design and meeting planning software.
Proficient with all forms of social media.
Competent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Public speaking skills preferred.
Must have the organizational skills and flexibility to multitask efficiently and handle time-sensitive projects.
Valid NC driver’s license that is not restricted to daylight hours only.
Major Duties of Position
Consult and assist program team leaders with managing details, logistics, and materializing program needs and requests.
Advise and assist with preparation for state committee meetings, conferences and projects for all program areas and Field Services team members.
Manage procedural documents and manuals to ensure all documents are updated regularly.
Assist with tasks such as social media management, drafting language, website updates, creation of program and conference media materials.
Interact with county Farm Bureau leadership and support staff as necessary.
Manage data electronically submitted by county Farm Bureaus. Sort data and create usable reports. Make recommendations to improve data collection from county Farm Bureaus.
Attend county, state, and out-of-state meetings and events as assigned.
Other duties as deemed necessary.
