During 14 years as a career firefighter, I faced a wide variety of disasters, emergencies, and situations. Each scenario was different and required quick, calculated thinking to provide a specific solution to resolve the issue at hand. My journey has now taken me from being in the midst of the emergency to helping individuals and families restore the shattered pieces after the smoke clears.
