About the Role
As an Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist I, you will maximize the potential of current crop insurance accounts while actively developing new accounts through direct outreach and solicitation. You will serve as a statewide expert in crop insurance and will receive training on all aspects of farm insurance to effectively support the statewide sales force and policyholders.
Education and Experience
College degree preferred or equivalent knowledge/work experience.
Licensed North Carolina Property and Casualty Insurance Agent or ability to obtain the license in a specified time period.

Location and Commitments
Full-time hybrid field/work from home role in our Marketing department, serving Western NC
Reports to the Marketing Department at our Corporate Office
Willingness to travel. Company car and mobile phone provided
Must reside in the western part of North Carolina (preferably west of Winston Salem, NC)
Complete the necessary training and exam requirements to become MPCI Crop Certified
Responsibilities of the Role
Maintain and grow existing crop accounts.
Establish and develop new crop accounts.
Assist less experienced Agents in selling farm insurance and conducting reviews on existing farm accounts.
Attend various meetings such as: County Boards, Agricultural-related meetings, annual meetings, conferences, etc.
Serve as the public face of the company in relation to crop and farm insurance.
Primarily concentrate on MPCI crop insurance, while also being equipped to assist with all farm insurance requirements.
Foster robust awareness of farm and crop issues among agents and customers.
Conduct educational seminars for both existing and prospective customers in collaboration with American Farm Bureau Insurance Services.
Review Farm Bureau members’ crop insurance accounts annually.
